Medieval Manuscripts in a Digital Age

Medieval Manuscripts in a Digital Age In-Person

Recently, four leaves from medieval manuscripts at the Oberlin libraries have been identified as having siblings in other libraries. How was this found, and what does it mean for how we understand and use ancient books? This event will present recent developments in the cooperative projects, Digital Scriptorium and Fragmentarium. Participants will get hands-on experience identifying medieval manuscript fragments and will “stitch” the Oberlin fragments together with others in a virtual environment.

Meet in the Forsythe Classroom of Terrell Library (Mudd Center room 410A).
